Complementary Therapies to help ease the stresses of Modern Life and improve your sense of wellbeing
Complementary Therapies to help ease the stresses of Modern Life and improve your sense of wellbeing

What is a holistic therapy?

Holisitc therapy considers the person as a whole, body, mind, emotions, environment, diet and lifestyle ***. Each component of your life and their interacting relationships are considered, not just the bodily aches or symptoms you are experiencing.

For a simple example an instant response to an aching left  shoulder is a nice shoulder massage but the holistic approach is to look at for example if you are a lady - do you wear your shoulder bag over this shoulder? This then treats the underlying cause not just the symptom. Do you work at a computer - maybe you need to examine your posture or computer height. Are you stressed at work? Maybe you carry your tension in your shoulders.

I do a health and lifestyle consultation with all new clients so we are considering a more long term approach to benefit your health.

***My treatments are tailored to your individual needs and take these into account

Can anyone have a treatment?

Before booking a treatment you will be asked certain health questions to ascertain if the treatment is suitable for you.

In a few instances we will have to get permission from your GP to continue

Are there any side effects?

Complementary therapies stimulate your bodies own healing process. Body systems may be functioning more efficiently and so toxins can be released. For these reasons it is possible that you may experience brief side effects such as frequent urination and bowel movements, thirst, sleepiness, headaches or feel a cold coming on. These are part of the bodies healing response. If you were going down with a cold the treatment my speed up the onset of the cold.

After your treatment you will be provided with aftercare advice which will include drinking plenty of water to flush out toxins.

Which therapy should I have?

Call me and I will advise you, it may be best for you to have a combination of treatments tailored to your personal requirements
